Resident Evil: Retribution Gets Its Trailer

Big news for you today, folks, as we’ve recently found out that the trailer has emerged for Resident Evil: Retribution. And it’s looking pretty nice indeed.

Resident Evil: Retribution, featuring Li Bingbing, Sienna Guillory, Michelle Rodriguez and Milla Jovovich, takes us back out to the planet in the midst of a plague of virus-induced horror as what’s left of the Umbrella Corporation is rallying around its most secretive and most protected facility. But Alice, backed up by some good friends she’s met along the way, is still out there, and she still wants to bring Umbrella down. And she’ll be traveling around the world, from Tokyo to Moscow and everywhere in between, in a bid to take out Umbrella once and for all.

The trailer looks pretty sharp indeed, packed with all manner of action, which is pretty much what we’ve come to expect from this series. I’m still a little torqued that the series is devolving into an action movie with occasional zombies and random mutations rather than a much heavier zombie picture with some occasional mutations.

Still though, we’ll get to see how the second to last installment comes out when it hits theaters September 14th, so keep it here for all the latest, and check out the trailer!

Sixth Resident Evil To Be The Last, A Prequel May Follow

From the sounds of things, Milla Jovovich is about to be pretty busy, and hopefully plenty of terror hotties will be following along. While we’re about to walk into the fifth installment of the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil: Retribution, there’s already word brewing about a part six, as well as the possibility of a prequel.

Basically, we’re already up to the fifth one, looking to hit later on this year. And considering that the previous four installments did as well as they did, it’s pretty much sure that they’re going to keep this going until the grosses start to fall off. Thus, it’s not a surprise to hear that a sixth one is almost certain to hit.

There’s even a possibility that they might go the prequel route with one of the upcoming titles, likely having something to do with the creation of the T-Virus, or maybe some early information with Umbrella. There are a lot of possibilities, but director Paul W.S. Anderson suggests that the sixth one is set to be the last, no matter how the grosses turn out, unless of course this one doesn’t pan out.

So keep it right here for all the latest ahead of the release of the next to last!

Two Resident Evil Terror Hotties Wish You Happy Holidays

Sienna Guillory and Milla Jovovich hit the Twitter feeds to wish you a happy holiday with their newest behind the scenes video, and not only is the video a marginally heartwarming event, it will also show off some nifty features.

It’s not just Guillory and Jovovich who are involved in the terror hottie roster for this outing of Resident Evil, which also includes Michelle Rodriguez and Li Bingbing. But it’s just the two of them who show up in this video, and while they won’t be putting up a whole lot of information on this one, they will be throwing in some interesting side bits, like the zombie who’s been dressed up like Santa Claus. But thankfully, it doesn’t look like either will be going into musical theater any time soon, for which we can all be abundantly grateful.

Still though, one thing is abundantly clear–there’s plenty of room for zombies in this one, and we’ll be seeing how it all ultimately turns out when it hits theaters September 14th, 2012.

New Video Lands For Resident Evil: Retribution

Man, you’ve got to hand it to Resident Evil: Retribution. This thing is constantly–constantly!–putting out news and all sorts of new information. And considering the vast array of terror hotties involved in this one, like Michelle Rodriguez, Li Bingbing, Sienna Guillory, and of course, Milla Jovovich, there’s always plenty for us to talk about.

The newest behind the scenes shows off some of the wire work going on in this one, though this is different than the last one as this time around, Milla Jovovich will be doing some of the wire work herself rather than handing off to her stunt double. And what she’ll do is actually pretty impressive.

The Resident Evil series has been widely known for its crazy stunts and lots of explosions and whatnot, and this one looks like it will be no exception. The hope, of course, is that the story–which has often been deficient–will keep pace with the effects. Thankfully, things have been improving of late, and as long as they keep up the zombies–and less on the bizarre T-virus creatures–we may just do all right. This one hits September of 2012, so we’ll find out soon enough.

Milla Jovovich Tips Us Off About Resident Evil: Retribution’s Big Monster

One of the most interesting things about Resident Evil: Retribution is that a lot of information comes out of it. And most of it comes directly from the various Twitter posts of terror hottie Milla Jovovich, who gave us one sweet piece of information in one of her latest tweets.

In the midst of telling us about a stunt she wouldn’t be allowed to do because of insurance reasons, but she also filled us in on the appearance of a major new baddie, described only as a ginormous creature. Just what that is she couldn’t spill in the tweet, but already the speculation is running amok. Will this be the one that brings us El Gigante? Or will something else come into play?

No word yet on just what we’ll be checking out, but we know two important things: one, this sucker’s set to hit September 14th, 2012, and when it does, it will be laden with terror hotties. So keep it right here for all the latest up until launch day!

Terror Hottie Packed Resident Evil: Retribution Closes Large Quantities Of Toronto

There are a whole bunch of terror hotties involved in Resident Evil: Retribution, and they’ve been involved in some pretty impressive business so far. While you’ve got Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Li Bingbing, and Michelle Rodriguez involved, you’ve also got some very interesting stuff going on here, including the closure of several major streets in Toronto to set up the filming on this one.

Resident Evil: Retribution rejoins Alice and many of her old friends, as well as some whole new figures that will be fairly easily recognizable, as they take on the remnants of the Umbrella Corporation and the host of undead and assorted monsters they’ve let loose on the face of the Earth thanks to the T-Virus they created.

Two great things about this: one, they actually managed to shut down a big swath of Toronto to shoot this, and two, Milla Jovovich actually has a nifty new short hair look for this shoot, as well as a costume that’s vaguely reminiscent of earlier Resident Evil gaming installments. I can’t quite pin down just where this came from, but it’s clearly from somewhere. And we’ll get to see how this all turns out when it hits theaters September 14th, 2012.

Resident Evil Retribution Gets Fresh Still With Loads Of Terror Hotties

A new still has landed for the upcoming release of Resident Evil: Retribution, and if you wanted to see just how terror hottie this was going to get, you’ve got the perfect opportunity right here thanks to a recently found still shot from the Resident Evil Xtreme Facebook page.

The pic itself features Milla Jovovich in her Alice gear, and newcomer Li Bingbing clearly pulling off the Ada Wong look (seriously, that’s an impressive likeness and an absolute masterwork of casting) in the signature red dress. Admittedly, just because this looks nicely casted (and also includes Michelle Rodriguez and Sienna Guillory in the terror hottie slots) doesn’t necessarily mean it will end well. It doesn’t help that there isn’t much of a synopsis available as yet either, so we don’t even know what it’ll be about.

Still though, there’s plenty of reason to think this might–especially given how the last one ended, which suggests a nice course of action for the next one–and I admit that I’m looking forward to seeing how it all boils down. And we’ll get to see it in theaters September 14th, 2012.

Faces In The Crowd Gets Two New Clips

A pair of new clips emerge for one of Milla Jovovich’s newest movie, Faces in the Crowd, and based on the contents of said clips, this one’s looking pretty nice indeed.

Faces In The Crowd follows a woman who’s just survived the psychopathic advances of Tearjerk Jack, a serial killer. But the woman hasn’t gotten off unscathed–she’s been hit with “face blindness”, a condition in which she can’t recognize anyone’s face. Including, not surprisingly, Tearjerk Jack’s. And Jack’s come back to finish the job, but she has absolutely no idea who he is. So now she’s going to have to fend off a man she’s never met before…that she knows of.

It’s a clever concept, no mistake there, but how will it come off? Well, we’ll find out soon enough–this comes out Tuesday, October 25th, on video store shelves everywhere. Hopefully they can match the sheer uniqueness of the plot with quality execution and really blow everyone’s mind.

Milla Jovovich Get New Stills For Faces In The Crowd

p>Milla Jovovich has been pretty busy lately, what with getting the band back together and all for another round of Resident Evil. And now she’s just hit the DVD and Blu-ray release mark for a little bit of direct to video fun in Faces in the Crowd.

Faces in the Crowd is about the only woman to ever survive the dark advances of Tearjerk Jack, the serial killer stalking the area. But our survivor has a little something called “face blindness”, meaning she doesn’t recognize faces. And now with Jack come back for revenge, and only one familiar face in the form of a detective who’s on her side, she’s got to try and survive the pursuit of a serial killer she wouldn’t even know if she saw.

An interesting concept, this is, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out. The best part is, we won’t even have long to wait as this one hits video stores October 25th. Should be something worth watching, and I’m looking forward to it.

Michelle Rodriguez Returns To Resident Evil: Retribution

Exciting news, folks: the next round of Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Retribution, will see Michelle Rodriguez come back to her role as Rain Ocampo.

We first saw Rain back in the 2002 trip to Las Vegas that was quite possibly the best in the series, or at least the one I preferred. Sure, the fourth one was pretty good in its way, but I think I preferred the wider scope of the third release. Anyway, they’re getting started shooting this one now, with an eye toward releasing it September 14th, 2012.

After the last few, which have in general been a bit heavier on the action than on the horror, as I would have preferred from the Resident Evil franchise, but still, we got a lot of fun out of it. Hopefully the fifth one can manage to improve on the earlier versions, which is a noble aspiration no matter how you feel about the series in general. But one thing’s for sure: the sheer amount of terror hotties involved in this–Milla Jovovich, Sienna Guillory and now Michelle Rodriguez–makes it more than worth our time to watch.

Milla Jovovich Training Hard Ahead Of Resident Evil: Retribution Release

Well, folks…considering that Sienna Guillory has announced her plans to return to Jill Valentine’s role in Resident Evil: Retribution, it’s not a surprise to see Milla Jovovich is getting ready to play the ultra-ballistic Alice again. And some recently emerged video shows her tackling just that.

The series of three videos that emerged feature Jovovich training–and hard, at that–to get herself in fighting trim for the Alice role once more. She’s clearly putting a lot into it, though, which is a definite relief given the possible outcomes.

I’ve been a bit ambivalent about the whole Resident Evil series. Frankly, I still resent the Slipknot video that was the first one, but I did like the post-Apocalyptic nature of what it was turning into. If it keeps up the zombies and keeps down the weird, well, I might be able to get behind this.

We’ll see how this turns out, though, when it hits theaters in full 3D September 14th, 2012.

Sienna Guillory Now Confirmed As Jill Valentine

Well, folks, it looks like the next Resident Evil movie will be just a little more terror hottie packed, as we discover that Sienna Guillory will indeed be back as Jill Valentine.

The down side, of course, is that no one knows as yet what the next plot will be, though chances are it will at least have something to do with Jill taking on the cargo ship full of survivors, in the beginning if nothing else. What follows from that, though, no one yet knows. But we’ve got Milla Jovovich and Sienna Guillory, so if nothing else there will be plenty of terror hotties.

The last few installments haven’t been terribly exciting for me, though I admit it is getting a little better than it did in previous outings. So hopefully this one will be better than the previous installments. No word on release dates on this one, either, so keep it right here for all the latest.

Milla Jovovich Set To Return To Video With Faces In The Crowd

If you’re tired of hearing about Milla Jovovich because it seems like all you hear about with her is some new Resident Evil schlockfest, well, I’ve got some very happy news for you right here. Seems that her movie Faces In The Crowd will be coming sooner than you might think.

Faces In The Crowd follows a woman who gets attacked by a serial killer and sustains a head injury, which she survives. But the head injury gives her a rare condition called face blindness, in which she can no longer recognize faces. Including, interestingly enough, the face of the man who nearly killed her. No longer able to recognize him or anyone else, can she survive it when he returns to finish the job?

Sound interesting? Sure it does. In fact, this is a little dose of unique that you don’t normally find. I’m certainly looking forward to it, and we’ll get to catch this one when it hits DVD–and Blu-ray–October 25th.

Resident Evil: Retribution Gets One More Terror Hottie

Only recently we discovered that Sienna Guillory was set to come back to Resident Evil: Retribution, but now, we’ve got fresh news about one terror hottie we weren’t sure was coming back…until now.

That’s right, folks, Milla Jovovich has just been announced as coming back to the Resident Evil series’ latest installment along with, tragically, Paul W.S. Anderson, who has done more and worse things to the Resident Evil series than anyone else, even Nintendo.

Resident Evil: Retribution is still set to start shooting this October, which is a good thing, as it’s got a projected release date of September 14th, 2012. And if they want to match that start date, they’re going to have to get off the dime and get to shooting. But with both Alice and Jill Valentine back in play, they’ll at the very least manage to get what will be the biggest fight of the movie operational. And with a pair of terror hotties confirmed as on board, well, that’s good enough for us!

Resident Evil: Retribution Starts Shooting In October

Oh, big news for you today, terror hottie buffs: if you’re looking forward to the terror hottie extravaganza that is the next go-round of Resident Evil, you’ll be happy to know that they’re going to start shooting the next round, Resident Evil: Retribution, this October.

Sienna Guillory has agreed to come back, which is a good thing considering how the last one ended. You can see a pic from the end scene above. Yeah, remember that? Jill Valentine was about to tear some people up, and Alice and company were about to have their hands full.

They’re planning to have this out in theaters September 14th, 2012, so they’d better get a move on. And considering that not even Milla Jovovich has agreed to come back (and what is Resident Evil going to be without Alice?), they may be in a fix by the end of it all. Still though, we’ve got Sienna Guillory, and that’s terror hottie presence enough for anyone. Getting the rest on board, well, that’s just icing on an already lovely cake.
