Coming this January to theaters–though probably not any near you–is the annual fourth installment of the After Dark Horrorfest, some of the best horror on Earth.
And already I’m worried, because one of the films involved in the 2010 installment is based on a short story by no less than Clive Barker, but featuring terror hottie Laura Donnelly.
Now, I do have to admit that I’ve come to at least get some respect out of his later work–Midnight Meat Train wasn’t half bad, and even some of his smaller stuff like The Plague was worth a nod of respect in its own right. Considering that this one, dubbed Dread, will be dealing with fears and phobias, it could prove to be at least somewhat scary. After all, if Butterfly Effect 3 can turn out to be worthy of the After Dark Horrorfest, then maybe they can turn this particular sows ear into a silk purse after all.
We’ll find out either way this January, or more likely, around June or so when it hits DVD.
