Bag Of Bones Gets Fresh Spots Ahead Of Release

It’s always something of a surprise to see another Stephen King adaptation crop up these days. It used to be that you’d see another one ever year or so, even some of the bigger ones. And now, another fresh adaptation will find its way to us soon with Bag of Bones, and there are plenty of terror hotties in here like Melissa George and Annabeth Gish.

Bag of Bones follows a novelist who heads out into the middle of nowhere following the death of his wife. And when he gets out into said middle of nowhere, he’s going to have a strange set of problems on his hands. He’s going to walk squarely into the midst of the most bizarre custody case he’s ever seen. And this is only what’s on the surface, as the problems will get much stranger the deeper in we go.

I used to wait on pins and needles, every spring, as ABC prepared its newest installment of a Stephen King adaptation. It, The Tommyknockers, even The Langoliers all presented a new and peachy multi-night surprise, even though most of the time I’d have to record it as it would often kick off on a school night. But still, another shot is a very welcome treat, even if this one’s hitting in late fall. You’ll be able to see this one December 11th and 12th on A&E.

A Lonely Place To Die Gets Official Trailer

Camping and hiking are easily some of the most dangerous activities in horror film, and with good reason. Being out in the middle of nowhere, far from civilization…it’s the great opportunity for homicidal lunatics to go after those involved. And that’s just what we’ve got coming with A Lonely Place To Die.

A Lonely Place To Die, featuring Amityville Horror’s Melissa George in the main terror hottie slot, sends a group of outdoorsy types to the Scottish Highlands, where they find something they weren’t expecting: a girl who’s been hidden out in the wilderness. When they recover the young lady, they discover who was keeping her out in that wilderness. And they’re not at all happy to lose their prize.

The trailer–which has only just emerged–looks pretty sweet indeed, and this only gets me more interested in actually catching this one. There’s no word on a release date just yet for this one, but at last report, a bidding war is on for US rights, so a release date isn’t too far behind. Keep it right here for all the latest.

Melissa George Heads for The Triangle

(Melissa George)

New posters have been released for the upcoming October release of Triangle, featuring Melissa George as the terror hottie of record.  I’ll tell you this much–they’re really something else.

You wouldn’t think much about hitting a seagull with your car on the way to the local harbor, would you?  No, of course you wouldn’t.  But when it’s just a sign of bigger and nastier on the way, for one woman, a boat ride out with friends will turn into a life-changing event.

I know, it sounds a little familiar, in a low-budget sort of way.  I’ve heard this one before, even from places like Lions Gate.  But there’s still a chance this can be done right, so I’ll reserve judgment until it hits in October.
