Remember when I announced previously that longstanding geek dream girl Carrie Fisher was getting in on Sorority Row? Well, she’s not alone—Caroline D’Amore has also managed to land a lead role, the list of which is growing seemingly about as fast as the United States’ national debt load.
No clue yet how close the remake will be to the original, which featured a group of sorority sisters out to cover up the death of one of their own, killed in a prank that went wrong. From there, their cover-up goes just as wrong as they find themselves stalked and
killed by, surprise surprise, a serial killer.
Okay, sure, so it sounds like more of the same stuff we’ve been watching for years, but sometimes it’s kind of nice to take a look back at where we came from. It can, if viewed correctly, give us a better idea of where we want to go…and conversely, where we DON’T want to go. Sure, I’m being awfully philosophical about a movie that probably really only exists to get half a dozen hot chicks in various states of undress, but there’s a deeper purpose in just about anything if you’re willing to look for it.
The slated release date on this one is October 2nd, 2009.
