Piranha 3-D To Add Last Minute Terror Hotties

Okay, we’re all well aware by now that there will be PLENTY of terror hotties involved in the upcoming release of Piranha 3-D, right?  But despite the fact that the movie comes out August 27th, it’s true–they’re adding cast.

But what are they adding for?  Apparently, they’re setting up a couple of extra trailers, and early word suggests they’re making one of them in the style of a Girls Gone Wild parody that will likely be attacked by piranhas.

The question at this point, of course, is, is this awesome or just horrendously stupid?  There’s a couple different ways to look at it, and your particular bent will depend on how you feel personally about the idea.  Some will say it’s a clever parody, others will just cry exploitation.  Me, I think it’s a mix of both–a fairly clever idea less than well executed.

And this summer, we’ll get to find out just how it comes out.

Anyone Want To See Christina Ricci Naked?

Yeah, I know that woke about half a dozen people at least.  It’s not every day that you see the words “naked Christina Ricci” together in one sentence without feeling really creepy about it, or getting investigated by the good folks at the FBI.

But no, she’s all grown up, and thusly, it’s perfectly acceptable to be wondering what she looks like naked.  And you’ll get to find out directly when Anchor Bay releases “After.Life”.

Also featuring Liam Neeson and Justin Long, After.Life revolves around a young woman who’s floating on the border between life and death, and is trying desperately to swing back into the life column before she can be buried by a funeral director who seems to know what’s going on and, as such, now holds her life in his hands.

You’ll be able to check this one out in a very few theaters this April, and chances are, on video not too long after that.

After.Life to Get Boost From Christina Ricci

Some good news about upcoming project After.Life—apparently none other than Christina Ricci has decided to come on board, possibly to replace current lead Kate Bosworth. Even better is that we already have one terror hottie at the helm in the form of Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo, who will be directing from her own screenplay. This may be her first directorial outing, but confidence is reasonably high. After all who better to direct than the person who knows the script best?

And with Christina Ricci on board, possibly in support of Kate Bosworth, we may have a winning combination in the works. After.Life, meanwhile, is about a funeral director who seems to have an uncanny knack for helping the dead finish their final business and move on. I know it’s a bit of a throwback to the bad old days of Crossing Over, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Production seems to be at a halt right now so no clue on release dates.
